LibertyColumns.com is owned and operated by Daniel R. Quintiliani.
Daniel R. Quintiliani (born 1984) holds a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Computer Science from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, class of 2006, earning CompTIA‘s A+ certification that same year.
Quintiliani was involved in various open-source projects during his college years, most notably The Life of a Geek and GNU/DOS (a distribution of FreeDOS from the mid-2000s).
Within months after graduating college, Quintiliani started a local business (Pike County Computer Services), which provided computer services and Web design to the area between 2006 and 2008. Quintiliani still works in the field.
Quintiliani is also an active General Class ham radio operator (callsign K3DRQ), first licensed in his mid-teens. He enjoys Morse Code, having been tested at 13 WPM, and also enjoys more modern digital communications. He is a member of the Morse code clubs FISTS and SKCC. Through his activity in the local ham radio club TSARA, Quintiliani has assisted in local emergency efforts, including Hurricanes Irene (2011) and Sandy (2012). Quintiliani has been the secretary of TSARA since 2012.
Inspired by our loss of political and economic freedom under Bush II and Obama, Quintiliani has been fighting for liberty and Judeo-Christian values, both through working with local Tea Party and Ron Paul groups over the years and by being very active on the Internet.
Also being concerned about increasingly strict copyright regulations and enforcement, most of which threaten culture, liberty, privacy, and capitalism, Quintiliani believes in increasing the amount of public domain and permissive-licensed material, and offers most of LibertyColumns.com’s content in this manner.
He is a dues-paid member of the Electronic Frontier Foundation (since 2004) and the Ludwig von Mises Institute (since 2012).
Quintiliani currently resides in Milford, PA.
